Someone on a local for sale group that buys and sells iPhones and electronics listed a couple sets of Bose QC20s for sale for $150. These headphones normally go for $300 in stores and $250 on EBay. I’m worried I’m buying fakes. I’ve read what makes a fake but I don’t know if I’ll be being rude if I meet him and ask if I can open it and check like fit and finish, warranty numbers, etc.

Its either fake or stolen, either way, don't give them your money. If you can't afford new, find used. I do it all the time for audio stuff as I have caviar tastes, but a hamburger budget.

Agreed. If you feel sketchy in any type of deal, walk away.

real iPhones with iOS 8 or newer can be charged in the microwave, test it that way
30 seconds = 25 % charge
